The San Pedro Port and the Surrounding Neighborhoods

The San Pedro port photography series captures the complex interaction between the Port of Los Angeles and its surrounding communities. Since moving to the area from West Los Angeles two years ago, I have been fascinated by the port's industrial landscape. My photographs often juxtapose the aesthetic beauty of the refineries and their seemingly calm order with the underlying toxicity and chaos.

Through this project, I aim to engage viewers, encouraging them to look at my images with curiosity and prompting an emotional response regarding the social and political implications of the port.
